sibol ng kabataang teatro: WORKSHOP 2009 FOR SI-KAT NEW MEMBERS

Yes, the day after the blog orientation workshop at saka ng asian movement workshop ay tuloy pa rin ang lagare ng mga memebers ng SI-KAT sa Carmel. Bakit? Kasi the following day(It was Friday afternoon), the new recruits of SI-KAT experienced their first taste of theatre workshop. Sorry, hindi ako nagfacilitate, ang totoo nanood lang ako. Ang mga core group at senior members yata ang siyang nagfacilitate ng workshop. Before the workshop, I just gave them guidelines and pointers but the rest was their show. Habang pinapanood ko sila ang nasabi ko sa sarili ko ay,

"Finally,the group can really stand on its own. Semi -retired na nga yata ako.hehehe"

Hinati nila ang mga participants into four groups. Sa bawat grupo ay at least three facilitators at five or more new members.I hopped from group to another to observe at masasabi kong hinog at babad na ang mga bata sa aspeto ng teatro.No doubt, higher level na nga ito.

The facilitators focused mainly on the artistic elements in theatre pero ang isang mahalagang reminder lang ang binigay ko sa mga facilitators:

"Hayaan n'yo na mag enjoy kayo at ang mga participants. It should be more of a bonding moment and a way for the new members to feel comfortable and welcome."

Kaya naman parang team building cum theatre arts workshop ang nangyari. It was fun eventhough the group was given only a short period of time. Pero ang alam ko naman ay marami pang darating na workshops para sa mga members. This Decemeber when I come back again sa Pilipinas ay may gagawin kaming mga activities for the SI-KAT members, so watch out!
